Done...for now...sort of?!?!

Yo! My first semester of seminary is in the bag. Exam week was hard to say the least. My favorite part of my semester was the part that I was dreading the most! I had to write a 14 page paper about how Jesus relates to the outcasts of His society and how each different gospel writer presents that. I love writing the paper and really feel like I learned a lot from it. If you would want to read it for whatever reason...just email me at timcooper4@yahoo.com .

It is hard to say that there is one big thing that I have learned or one amazing thing that jumps out at me from any of my studying or classes. However one of the biggest things that I am realizing is my desire, scratch that, my need to be a life long learner. I want to and realize the importance of continually growing in knowledge for the rest of my life. Too many people get out of school and seem to think they have learned enough and for the rest of their life they are going to just form opinions and entertain themselves. That can sound a little harsh but sadly I think it actually sounds true.

I want to be learning about Christ and the power of His work for the rest of my life. I want to always be learning and not just reacting to all the stuff that life throws at you. That is what I am learning in life as opposed to what seminary has taught me.

So for the next few weeks that I have off, my goal is the same as when I am in school, to keep Christ as the priority and continue to keep learning about His grace and love.

Tim
